Stress-free creating!

Stitched Stories in Fabric Books minimum full day or 2 days
Fabric books can be as complex as any quilt or as simple as a postcard. They are an expression of textile artistry that can unlock your creative spirit. Explore the fabric book-making process. Learn how to develop a theme in the planning, layout, page making and binding steps of stitched story telling. Try stamping on fabrics, using fabric paints and creating pockets. Choose from a variety of themes or develop your own.

Art to Share- Fiber Art Postcards and Artist Trading Cards 2 or more hours
Create original mini art splashes to exchange with friends or send through the mail. Postcards and Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) are easy to make and a joy to receive. Learn the basics of stabilizing and finishing. Play and create a mini masterpiece!

Beading on Fabric 3 or more hours
Textile artists are collectors. We collect fabric, thread and all sorts of embellishments. Once you learn some of the many ways to apply beads to your next fabric project, you will be starting a new collection! Try simple seed stitching, scatter stitching and stacking. Master the picot stitch and more. A fun way to add hand work to your repertoire of techniques.

Fearless Free-Motion Sampler full day or more
Free-motion sewing is one of the most versatile tools that any fiber artist can learn. Once you become comfortable with this liberating technique, you can stitch anything! Expand your quilting horizons, add lettering to your quilts or become a thread painter. Demystify this technique by learning about some easy methods and tools that will have you wondering just what all the fuss was about!

Guiding Flags full day
Inspired by Tibetan Prayer Flags, this project is all about developing your own personal symbology. Focus on how colors, imagery and iconography play an important role in your life and artistic process. Explore symbolic resources and history. Discover what symbols resonate with you and how you can incorporate them in your work.

Journaling for the Fabric Artist full day
Mention journaling and sketching to fiber artists and you may hear whining and groaning. I don’t write! I can’t draw! But, journaling can be beneficial to the creative process. We introduce a new way to journal. First we will make a fabulous fabric cover for our journals. Then, we show fiber artists how to journal using their fabric and thread. We will also try out collage techniques, stamps and paint. Journaling is about exploring not just writing. Before you know it you will be journaling daily.

Thread Painting by Numbers Coming soon!

Please, Please Note:
We want to get all that we can into a class and we want everyone to get the most that they can out of a class. Therefore, we can not troubleshoot sewing machine problems in class. Please be or become comfortable with your sewing machine so that you will not have difficulty threading, stitching, using various feet and free-motion sewing as needed.

Please drop us an email to discuss details. Contact Liz Email or Debbie Email.
